The event presents Fellows with the opportunity to connect with the YALINetwork members in their community, form partnerships and collaborate on projects. The event also provides an opportunity for Fellows to dispel some misconceptions about authenticity and selection process of fellowship programs. The Mandela Washington Fellowship is your opportunity to be one of 1000 young African leaders to visit the United States for six weeks of leadership training, networking and mentoring at 20 of the United States’ top colleges and universities. Upon returning to Africa, Fellows have access to professional development activities, training and seed funding to support their ideas, businesses and organizations. The #YALIRollout is your opportunity to learn more about the value of a U.S. exchange program.
